Shoebox for a Soldier

It always feels better to give then get during the holiday season. Many are not as fortunate as we are. I can think of many that are not going to be with their families over the holidays, and those are the men and women in our military. We decided to make up a shoebox of goodies- snacks, magazines, drink mixes, DVD's, etc. and send to a troop overseas. We wrote him a Thank You! note to express our gratitude for everything he/she has done for us. Here are the two pictures we put in the box of our family to say Hi.

If you would like more information on this program you can go to shoeboxforasoldier.com. If you research, I'm sure there are other organizations near your home if you do not live in the Columbus area. Happy Holidays (already)!

Bath Time!!

We love bath time!! Maxton's always been really good at taking baths. We just got him this big bath. We were using the yellow bear sponge but he outgrew the length of it really quick. This one fits him much better. So he doesn't get mad me in the future, I've made sure we didn't show his boy areas! :)

New Pics of Little Man

Maxton is getting to be such a big boy. He's now playing in his big boy toys- His Bumbo seat and his RainForest Jumperoo. He's not loving the bumbo seat but I think he might grow into it. He is however liking the Jumperoo. I don't think he knows quite what to think yet. It's so much fun watching him grab at things now and hold objects. His back is so strong. He wants to pull himself up all the time in the sitting position. Of course we do a good job of propping him up now for pictures, as you can see below! Everyone said Time will Fly! And I can't believe how right they were. These are fun times but I can't wait to see what the upcoming months are going to bring. I need to baby proof this house very soon!

Look Jamie, your Panda outfit fits!!!

Maxton's First Halloween

We've started a tradition now where we hand out candy with our neighbors Aimee and Eric. Trick or Treat was on Halloween this year in our neighborhood and we got quite a few kids. Maxton was sporting his cute little Giraffe costume again. He was such a trooper. He hung almost through the entire 2 hours of trick or treat then tuckered out at the end and fell asleep in my arms. It was a beautiful night and we were able to sit outside with him. We then went down to visit the Hone's and see little Natalie but she had already called it a night. We were hoping to also get over to the Pifer's to see little Camryn, but Maxton was ready for his own bed by 8:30. We had a great first Halloween!!

Congrats!
