Maxton's First Pictures

So I nearly forgot about Newborn pictures for Maxton. Going at 5 weeks will have to do this time. We have a ton of pictures. I totally overbought!! They know how to rope the first time Mom's in I think. Next time I will know where to draw the line. Here are some of the cute shots we got. Let me know which pose you like and I will send you one.

First time back to the Gym!

Holy Crap!! I am SO out of shape and I can't emphasize the SO in this sentence. Ten pound weights felt like 50 when doing biceps, jogging more than 2 minutes on the tread mill consecutively was out of the question, and my Ab workout was a joke. Today it felt like I had no Ab strength left in that jiggly tummy of mine. WOW, do I have a far way to go to get this bod back in shape. Will Power- Please stay with me as I will need you to get to that gym during the week. Matt, if you are reading this, how about investing in a personal trainer?!? Haha, I know that is out of the question!

One Month Doctor's Appointment

Maxton had his one month appointment on Monday. Everything went very well. He is weighing in at 11 lbs 6 ozs (90th percentile) and is 22 1/4 inches long (75th percentile). He had gained about an ounce and a half a day and Doctor Houts said they look for an ounce to two ounces a day. So he is growing steadily. He also has a red mark on the center of the back of his head. I guess this is called a Stork Bite. I thought it would be a red patch that would dissappear over time but I guess it is there for good. Let's hope he keeps my good head of hair so that he won't have to shave his head like Daddy. He's not going to have as perfect of a head as Daddy. ;)

Maxton and Brady

We were so excited to meet little Brady Enders over the weekend. Eveyone remembers my friend, Nick, right? We are good friends from high school. Nick and his wife Jessica had Brady on June 10th and live in Palm Springs, CA. This is the first time they have been back to Ohio and we were so excited to introduce Maxton and Brady to each other. They are great friends already ;)

Bucyrus High School Ten Year Reunion

Our ten year reunion has finally came and gone. I think Jessica and I did a farely good job. That day it really didn't seem like we did too much, but it was a good time. We didn't have the turn out we thought we would, but it was great to see everyone that came. It also feels nice to hand off the reign to someone else. Lindsay, you are taking over, right? Do you remember volunteering?? :)

This was my first night away from Maxton. It was nice to have a couple beers and socialize. I haven't done that since Nov. 17th!! Thanks to Mom for taking care of the little guy all day Saturday and through the night! I introduced the bottle and formula to help supplement over the weekend. I loved it!!! Slept in crib for first time

We set up shop downstairs since we brought Maxton home. So all feedings and sleeping we're happening downstairs. We set it up like that until he started sleeping good through the night so that Matt wouldn't get woke up all the time. Now that Maxton is doing a good job of getting his nights and days corrected and sleeping 3 hours plus through the nights, we have made the transition upstairs. I wanted to do this soon so he didn't get too use to another sleeping spot. He did a great job in his crib last night, I was so impressed. He slept from 2-5 and then about 6-9 am this morning. He has turned out to be a really good eater and sleeper. We are very happy so far with his progress in these areas! Mom is keeping her sanity. We will be traveling this weekend, Thurs- Sun, so the playyard will get its use again for sleeping. We will then transition back on Sunday night.

Broken tailbone?

Have you ever heard of someone breaking their tailbone during labor? I haven't seen a doctor for that diagnosis, but I'm pretty sure I have a broken tailbone. 19 days later and I am still very sore back there. I hear from some friends that there isn't really anything you can do about it but let time heal it. I guess I will keep stuffing motrin down to take away some of the discomfort. Other than the tailbone area I feel great!

Congratulations to...

My step-sister Katie and her boyfriend Josh who will be expecting their first little bundle of joy around April 12th. We're so happy for you.

Today's Doctors Appointment

Everything is looking good with the little guy. He gained another 7 ozs this week putting him back up to 9 lbs 4 ozs. Doctor was looking for an ounce a day and we are there. Should be up to birth weight by tomorrow.
