So what's been going on?

Now that I'm on Facebook I feel like I neglect this blog. So sorry! I keep everyone updated there and forget I have a separate audience here (i.e. Amanda Chack, Angie Chandler to name a few who are NOT on Facebook!). Well, I have now decided FOR SURE that this is the last child the Balster's are bearing. I say this because every time I get pregnant my Mom gets CANCER! Ahhhh! I know these two are very unrelated but weird that they happen at the same time (which means I can't drink my sorrows away- a curse and a blessing!). Yes, Momma Linda's Cancer is back. :( A BIG Boooo I know! After she met with her Doc here in Columbus she decided to get a second opinion at one of the best Sarcoma hospitals in the country, MD Anderson in Houston, TX. So.....another Girl's Trip!! :) My mom, Aunt Lisa, Maw-Maw and I are headed to Houston the end of April for a 3 day trip. We're hoping to get some great recommendations and a path to move forward with. Currently the path will be Surgery, Internal Radiation and Chemotherapy but that is to TBD based on what the Docs at MDA say. Wow, is that "C" word hard to write. Not looking forward to seeing my Momma go through that. But, whatever will help I am ALL for! So needless to say this Spring/Summer is going to be a bit of a bumpy road for the fam. I'm 100% confident that all is going to work out well in the end but it's the journey not the destination that is concerning. Keep my Mom in your thoughts and prayers. Please send her many positive thoughts. If you know Miss Linda she is an amazing person and an incredible Mom and GiGi-- We want to keep her around as long as we can!

That's the biggest news I would say. Pregnancy is going well. Baby bump REALLY pushed out over the weekend. Definitely in maternity pants this week! Starting to feel the swishy feelings and looking forward to the little kicks that are right around the corner.

Maxton is doing well as you can see from pictures and posts. He's amazing. Keeps us on our toes. Is speaking way too many words and sentences right now! We're working on the hitting that's going on right now with Time-Out's. At the end of April we are actually going to transition him into a Full time Daycare center. We found one we love that is right in our budget! We're excited for this change for him, we think it will be great.

Matt is back home- No more Snow or Basketball Season- YAY!!!! He has started back up with his Classes. Taking 3 this time which will keep him busy, but not TOO busy.

I'll try to check in more often Friends! :)

Deep Creek, MD

We had a fun weekend in Deep Creek, MD. Shannon drove down from Baltimore (area)Maryland, Carrie and Charlotte drove over from Cleveland and Carey drove up from Cinci to meet Abi and I and we headed East on Rt. 70 to MD. It was a short trip, Friday through Sunday. We rented a 4 bedroom Log Cabin and hung out all weekend. We had many good laughs and ate some great food! Way too much food!! On Saturday we went hiking at Swallow Falls Park. The 30 ft waterfall was beautiful. My calves hurt so bad today from the hiking. It was great to see everyone and hope we can get together again soon. Next time for longer! Here are some pictures of our fun weekend.
