Switching jobs....eeek!
So at 19 weeks pregnant, I'm taking a leap into another position at another company. An old friend of mine from college emailed out this opportunity about a month back and it peaked my interest. I interviewed for a couple of weeks and found it to be mutually a great fit. I start at North American Corporation on March 10th. This position will be more on the project management side versus my current position of sales, which is what I was looking for. My one and only client will be Abbott Laboratories which is where my office will be here in Columbus. Abbott's marketing department is essentially outsourcing all print, graphic design, and promotional products to our company which we in turn work with our hundreds of vendors to supply the products. I'm super excited about the opportunity and can't wait to get started.

One more week!
These last three weeks have been the longest three weeks ever! We can't wait until our appt, a week from today, to find out whether it is a girl or boy!!!
Here is where we are at now:
How your baby's growing: Head to bottom, your baby is approximately 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and she weighs almost 7 ounces. She's busy flexing her arms and legs — movements that you'll likely start noticing more and more. Her blood vessels are visible through her thin skin and her ears are now in position and stand out from her head. Myelin (a protective covering) is beginning to form around her nerves, a process that will continue for a year after she's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and Fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If your baby is a boy, his genitals are noticeable, though he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

Mom Cancer Free!!!
We just got the news today that the tumor is benign that is wrapped around her colon. She will be talking to doctors on what treatment is neccesary. She hopes to start treatment around the end of March, whatever it may be. The pain is still there a little from the pressure of the tumor, but thank God it will be taken care of soon. Thanks to all of you for all of the kind notes and prayers you have been sending our way. Love you all!! It is a great day...we are so excited for the future!

Prayers for Mom
Everyone please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers. We will find out this week if the tumor they found is cancerous or not. I'm CONFIDENT it will not be. We should find out in a couple of days. We will then talk with doctors to see how it can be removed. Options at this point we believe are surgery or radiation or a combination of the two. We can't wait until Mom gets rid of this and is PAIN FREE and living a normal healthy life again!! We all love our Linda!!!
I love you Mom!!!

I'm not excited about this...

For all of you who are asking for a "belly picture", here you go. Although, I really don't want to show off my fat stomach, I'm here to appease. And yes, I started off with a thicker mid-section (as you all know) and right now it is just getting pushed out farther! I might keep updating these photos, we'll see how bad it gets. ughhh....

Come on...Drop one...Drop one...

Here's a scene in our house daily. We feed Macy she woofs down her half cup in approximately 45 seconds and then sits patiently by Rory hoping she will drop a piece or two. Rory oftens gives Macy the URRGGGGG to get back. Macy will move a little farther back but still wait patiently. Luckily for Macy pieces often fall out of Rory's mouth on to the floor which is like a slice of Heaven!! Our puggle is so fat!

March 3rd the big day to verify baby's anatomy!!
As I am stuck in the Raleigh-Durham airport for four hours, I thought it would be a great time to add a post. Matt and I went for our 16 week checkup this week and everything is looking great. We heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was amazing. We scheduled our next appt for March 3rd which will be the ultrasound for the sex!!! Woo-hoo, we're so excited. The countdown is on! I will post on the 3rd around 3-4:00 what results we obtain that day. Then I get to go shopping!!! :)
Matt is thinking Girl, and I am thinking Boy. We have a bet for five days straight of back-rubs for the winner. I also have a bet with my dad for a beer at the Bratwurst. He thinks it's a Girl as well.

15 Weeks
How your baby's growing:Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds.
