Two weeks ago was our Hocking Hills trip with our friends, Last weekend was Maxton's Birthday Party, this weekend we get a break from the "Busy" (woo-hoo) and next week we go on a mini-vacation. So this week is all about planning for our little adventure. When I say Adventure, I can't wait to see what will or will not happen. I say that because we have to be at the Airport by like 6 am next Thursday and therefore need to get Maxton out of bed around 5:30. Then we get to jump on a flight to NYC for a lay-over and then another flight to BWI. Two flights over nap time. God help us! I hope all goes well. We then have a busy day in DC checking out the city and possibly attending a Nationals game to only follow up with an 8:05 pm tour of the White House West Wing. Yes, all, I plan on getting my child out of bed at 5:30 am and keeping him up until atleast 9:30 pm!!!! I will be praying that President Obama does not come out of the East Wing because he hears a fussy little toddler screaming his lungs off! If you know Maxton, you know what kind of lungs he has! It will for sure be a long day but I hope we can get some good naps in throughout the day to prolong the tiredness that typically hits him around 7:30 pm.
Then on Friday we are off to Ocean City, MD for a 3 day fun beach adventure. This will be Maxton's first time to the Ocean which I'm sure he'll remember forever (haha! JK- I know he's only 1!). So we're excited for our first family vacation together. I'm curious to see what a lack of routine will do to the little guy....eek! To be determined...... :)

Happy 1st Birthday to our little Bugaboo!!
I love this picture for so many reasons. The main reason is that this picture session was for his first birthday. And so we said "Maxton, is SOOOOO big". And then he raised both his arms up like Yes, SO big! It was sooo cute! Everyone was laughing and congratulating him on eating his first bite of cake. I think he liked it if you can't tell! It looks like he gets to eat even more on Saturday! I'm sure he'll be ok with that. :)Sunday, July 12, 2009
1 Year Pictures
Today was one of the last days we could get pictures done before his birthday party. We went to Portrait Innovations again where we had Maxton's one month pictures taken. We brought props along this time just in case and I'm glad we did! Here are some of my favorite shots. I'm saving the "money shot" until after his birthday. From the progression of pictures, I'm sure you can imagine what occured. The photo shoot started out kind of rough with Maxton crawling and walking around EVERYWHERE! They could barely get a good shot. But at the end, it was priceless! We ended the shoot with everyone laughing and cheering. I'll post those pics soon! hehe

Polls to the right
I think of silly things sometimes when I'm driving or using the restroom. I'm interested to see how people will respond :)

Guess Who is Walking??
You guessed it.....Maxton! :)
It was so sweet. Both Grandma's were here today, Grandma Pat and Grandma Linda. One was getting off work, and one was here preparing for work the next day (haha...babysitting!). We had Maxton walking everywhere. At one point, he followed Grandma Pat all the way around the center wall in our house between the kitchen, living room and dining room. He even did a circle move and faked us out, like I'm not going that way, I'm going this way.
Yay Maxton. I'm sure tomorrow he will be running....If it was up to him that is. Hopefully he will continue to try and perfect his walking skills versus crawling everywhere (which he can do faster now).
