First Haircut already!

At 8 months old, it was time for the little guy to his hair trimmed. It was getting so long over his ears. So today, we all went to Cookie Cutters down the street. That place was so cute and they were very patient with all of the little kids. Maxton sat in the Airplane with the other choices being Garfield, a horse, and a Police car. He started out well, but was so tired and it ended up in a crying fest. They have a cute little certificate with his picture, date and the clippings of his hair. Here are some pics...

Welcome Kaden Vance!

He came a little earlier than expected....Welcome to the world Kaden Vance Chandler on Thursday, March 26th weighing in at 8 lbs 8.5 ozs. He is so cute...looking just like his Father it seems. Congrats Brad and Angie. We're so excited for you!! :)

Happy St. Patricks Day!!

Maxton woke up on the wrong side of the crib today :) He's cutting teeth so he has been kind of grumpy lately. Here are some pictures I took. As you can see, some were in the morning when he just woke up and pre-bottle. We got a few good ones for the day too. Did anyone have any green beer this year? None for us :(

Scrapbook

I really want a "first year" scrapbook for Maxton. I have the "pre-made" scrapbook my Aunt got us and I have started on some of the pages. I just don't have the want or time (b/c I would rather do other things) really to do it. Is there anyone out there that has the time (ha!) that would enjoy doing a scrapbook for Maxton? I have all the stuff and I'll pay you!! Let me know if anyone is interested. I'm just not, and I know that is so bad :(

2 down and 88 more to go!!

Matt and I started P90X on Sunday. We've heard from many of our friends and acquaintances that this is THE workout that will kick your butt and get you healthy, fit and skinny fast! And we have to agree...probably the hardest workout we've ever seen! I've seen many of exercise moves, but the Banana/Superman, Crazy Jacks and about 10,000 downward dogs will get you in to shape! haha We hope we can stick with it and plan to motivate each other every day. What a great day!!!

You ever have such a great day and you just want to tell everyone! :) Well I've had a great day today for many reasons and I hope that everyone else has had a great day as well!!

Part of my great day, was that I found out that two of our friends are having BABIES!!! Yeh, more babies!!!! And they are in walking distance to our house so we get more playmates! Congratulations to our neighbors Aimee and Eric who are now expecting and to our friends around the corner Paul and Jen who are also expecting!! We can't wait to go shopping!! :)

Other great news is that I am down to pre-baby weight! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!! You moms know how big of an accomplishment that is! HAHA

'Tis the night for blogs

If anyone is interested, a few of us girls are going to go to the Kenny Chesney/Sugarland/Miranda Lambert/Lady Antebellum concert on May 23rd. I think tickets are like $90. But you're getting 4 concerts really, so kind of a good deal. If anyone is interested- let me know!

Low fat/calorie Chicken Salad recipe

If anyone else enjoys chicken salad like I do, you'll appreciate this low fat/low cal recipe. It's REALLY good!!
6 ozs chicken breast (cooked and cooled)
2 tbsp low-fat mayo
3/4 tbsp dijon mustard
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 teaspoon fresh dill (optional)
1/4 cup celery, diced

Combine ingredients and wa-la! It's only 217 calories a serving. I have been putting 3-4 chicken breasts in a crock pot on Sunday with a little bit of water and slow cooking them for a few hours. The chicken just falls apart, it's so good! Then each night I use the chicken in different recipes.

Easter Basket, Check!

When shopping at Sam's Club I found this cute little Easter basket. I wanted to get one that will last another 6-7 years. I think this one will do the trick! I love Sam's by the way!

Maxton's Tux

SO CUTE!!!! I was shopping at Sam's Club today and I came across a rack of little suits and tuxes. It peaked my interest because Maxton is the ring bearer in my step-brother Nick and his Fiance Felicia's wedding. It will be so cute, he's going to be pulled down the aisle in a little wagon all decorated (b/c we don't think he'll be walking by then). So I found this little tux for ONLY $25!!! It was going to cost so much more to rent one so I'm excited about the deal. Also excited to see our little guy wearing it!

Katie's Baby Shower

The little guy is almost here. Katie is due on April 3rd. Maxton can't wait to have a little cousin!! We had lots of fun at the shower. Katie got a ton of stuff! Congrats Katie and Josh, he'll be here before you know it!!

Believe it or not!

Last night Matt and I were in the kitchen and Maxton was in his high chair and had just finished eating his fruit and veggie. I'm cleaning bottles I think and Matt was cleaning up his spoons I think. Just to throw this out there- I know that Maxton has no idea yet that I'm Ma-Ma and daddy's Da-Da. But.....all in one night we heard a bunch of consonants and it was so cool!! If Matt wasn't standing there too I could have questioned it, but I said to Matt, did you hear what I just heard? And he said Yes! I said Sweet, because I'm going to blog about it! haha
First, he said da-da-da-da-da. Then Matt goes nuts like haha he said da-da first....and I'm like NO that doesn't count he doesn't know what he's saying!! Then while we're hashing it out, I hear muh-muh-muh-muh. So I perk up like was that MUH!! So were in shock that we heard DA and MUH all in one night. The topper, a couple minutes later, we got baa-baa-baa-baa!!!! Three consonants in one night!! It was so much fun to hear. He probably had no clue why we were like YEH good job buddy!

Verdict is in....

I am boycotting "The Bachelor" from here on out. It's so NOT real!! Completely staged and fake- I guess that is "reality" TV now.

I like Jillian, but her canadian "again" (pronounced uh-gain) and her O's bother me. If she didn't have such a heavy accent I could handle it because she's really cute and sweet, but I'm DONE.

The Bachelor

So depending on how "The Bachelor" finale goes tonight, I might boycot the show forever. A colleague/friend of mine told me about this website http://www.realitysteve.com/ and he is a blogger on shows/celebs/news, etc. He outed what the finale is going to be like weeks ago and I read it. I'm not impressed at all with how I believe it is going to end. If it's a fishy ending I think I'm going to boycot the show from here on out. I would rather see things the way they really are versus the way they want us to see it. Totally media bias!!! But that's reality TV for ya! It's like my heroine. :)
