Cute Story

Sunday night I gave Maxton a bath and afterwards we came downstairs because all of his stuff was down there for our post-bath routine, i.e. Lotion, Diaper and PJ's. Well needless to say he HATES to get lotioned up. I know, who doesn't love to moisten their skin and not have dry skin! Well this kid hates lotion so he runs from us when he sees it. So as I'm sitting in the living room trying to hold him to lotion his little naked body, he runs away from me in the Kitchen. I sat there for a minute (kind of got loss in the Olympics, not going to lie) and then went to look for him. I was coming into the Kitchen and I noticed a huge puddle on the floor. There stands Maxton with a dishtowel (a clean one he got out of the drawer) cleaning up this puddle. I asked him, "Maxton, what is that?". He looked down at his pee-pee, grabbed it and said "pee-pee". I said "Did you pee-pee on the floor?". He shook his head and said "pee-pee". And there he was like a good little boy trying to clean up his pee-pee by himself. It was so cute. I told him it was ok and then gave him a high five for helping to clean up. It was hysterical!

Hillbilly Sledding

Family fun day in the snow! We finally got out into the snow today to play. On Monday, Matt went to 5 different stores trying to find a sled. No such luck! ACE down the street said they would be getting in some tomorrow so I might swing by if I remember after work. But that didn't stop us from "sledding". Matt made a make-shift sled out of plywood (I think it was plywood!??) and a Net. He drilled a hole in the board and then looped the net through the hole to pull it. I attached a video of Matt pulling Maxton and our neighbors Sophie and Mikah. They came over to join in on the fun. We also think it's a good idea to start chores early. We put Maxton to work to shovel the driveway and sidewalks. He did a good job as you'll see in the pictures. He also changed the trash today and fed the dogs. Now if he could only pick up all his toys when he's done playing!!! :) Happy snow days everyone!
